Down to Earth Organic &Natural is opening its first stand-alone grocery store at Pearlridge Center on Dec. 1, replacing another location at the west end of the mall.
The company’s original 4,000-square-foot store opened in 2000 next to Bed, Bath &Beyond. That store will close Nov. 30.
A new two-story location at Pearlridge Center, next to the old Toys R Us across from Pali Momi Medical Center, is 13,000 square feet with a deli that will include freshly baked pizza, bread and made-to-order meals, as well as an on-site kitchen and a dining area for cooking demonstrations, seminars and other functions, the company said Thursday.
“We’ve been working on this project for many years, and we’re thrilled to share our passion for a vegetarian lifestyle, sustainable living, and organic products, while providing quality great tasting products,” said Mark Fergusson, CEO of Down to Earth, in a news release.
The Pearlridge location, which follows the opening of a Kakaako store earlier this year, will be open from
6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with the deli closing at 9 p.m.
