South Korean singer CL, formerly with girl group 2NE1 under YG Entertainment, has just released a song in the U.S. with the Black Eyed Peas. CL is featured on the track “Dopeness,” rapping in English for parts of the song. She also has a heavy presence in the music video, which has more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.
CL has been working hard to find her niche in the U.S. music entertainment scene. Managed by Scooter Braun, CL has collaborated with other musicians, including Diplo on his 2015 single “Doctor Pepper.” She had her first solo North American tour in 2016 with her first English single “Lifted.”
