Honolulu Volkswagen General Manager Angela Deocampo will be the featured speaker at noon Wednesday at the monthly Auto Lunch Bunch.
The event will be held at the Waikiki Yacht Club, 1599 Ala Moana Blvd.
“Kars at the Kurb” will showcase the 2019 VW Jetta, 2019 Atlas SUV and a 2019 Tiguan smaller SUV with three rows of seats.

Aloha Island Mart named Retailer of Year
Aloha Petroleum Ltd.’s branded convenience store, Aloha Island Mart, was named the winner of this year’s Ho‘okele Award for Retailer of the Year from the Retail Merchants of Hawaii. Aloha Island Marts are at 50 Aloha Gas stations across the islands.
Aloha Island Mart was recognized for understanding the local market, listening to its customers and supporting the community.
Presented annually by the Retail Merchants of Hawaii, the Ho‘okele Award honors an outstanding business that has contributed to the success and vitality of the retail industry by serving the community and earning respect from its peers.
ASB to mark Kahala branch renovation
American Savings Bank will celebrate the grand opening of its newly renovated Kahala branch, 4211 Waialae Ave., at 8:45 a.m. Friday.
The free event will include a blessing by Kahu Kordell Kekoa, a donation to a local charitable beneficiary, prize giveaways and refreshments. American Savings President and CEO Rich Wacker will be among the officials at the event.

>> First Insurance Co. of Hawaii has promoted Kei Kobayashi to vice president and chief operating officer of its First Risk Management Services subsidiary. Kobayashi joined the company in 2015. Previously he was a manager at parent company Tokio Marine’s International Business Development department for 14 years.
