Police arrested a male suspect after he allegedly wielded a knife and threatened his roommate and a visitor at an apartment building in Waikiki on Monday night.
Police said the suspect was throwing items outside of his apartment when a visitor who was staying in a unit on a different floor of the building went up to the suspect’s apartment at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday to find out what was going on.
The suspect allegedly threatened the visitor with a knife.
Police said the suspect also threatened his roommate with a knife Monday.
The roommate managed to leave the apartment upon or shortly after the arrival of police but before the suspect barricaded himself in the unit.
Police arrested the suspect at approximately 1:05 a.m. Tuesday.
