I am all for investing in our children’s education. Making our schools more successful and effective places of learning is a must. Only by doing so can our communities hope to flourish.
But is the choice obvious? Is additional taxation and increased government spending the solution? I think not — at least not until the state Department of Education and all its parts are subjected to an in-depth independent audit. Then, let’s get serious about funding our future.
Imagine if we had been doing this with our rail project.
