Families can celebrate Halloween while learning about Hawaii’s invasive species at Boo at the Zoo: The Invaders!, a Honolulu Zoo fundraiser on Friday and Saturday at the zoo.
The event is sponsored by the Honolulu Zoo Society.
“Boo at the Zoo is a fun and festive way to learn about conservation and to support the Honolulu Zoo,” said Marlee Breese, executive director of Honolulu Zoo Society.
Get in the spirit and dress up your keiki in their favorite costumes and bring their trick-or-treating bags or pails. Event activities will focus on invasive species and include an “Invaders Haunted House” to go with the theme (recommended for ages 8 and older), “Animal Habitat Trick-or-Treat Trail” and “Invasive Species Conservation Education Stations.”
There will be a keiki zone with spooky storytelling, face painting, character picture taking and Halloween themed arts-and-crafts projects. Food will be available for purchase from Taste, Honolulu Zoo Catering.
