A Teen Health Camp that gives youngsters an engaging way to explore health care careers will be held Nov. 3 at the University of Hawaii’s John A. Burns School of Medicine.
The free daylong camp’s focus is on students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds or underrepresented ethnicities.
Participants will treat wounds, put in stitches and make casts, and learn how diseases spread.
The camp is open to students in grades six through 12. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Medical Education Building.
Applications are being accepted through Friday at www.ahec.hawaii.edu/teen-health-camp-hawaii.
