Mackfik Kolman, 22, was found dead in the bushes Sunday on Tantalus Drive.

Honolulu police and CrimeStoppers are asking for the public’s help in locating witnesses in the murder of 22-year-old Mackfik Kolman.

Police said a passerby found Kolman unresponsive in the bushes near the 3800 block of Tantalus Drive at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday. An Emergency Medical Services crew responded and pronounced him dead.

Police initially opened an unattended death case, but reclassified the case to a second-degree murder investigation on Monday after suspicious injuries were found on Kolman’s body.

Kolman was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cell phone. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text message by texting “CS808” plus a message to 274637 or CRIMES.
