Such an eye-catching commercial, seeing our past governors speak out against the upcoming ConAm on the November ballot.
While I am not going to debate the merits or difficulties of the ConAm, I do want to acknowledge the amount of effort I am sure it took to engage each governor in this ad.
However, in my experience, saying “no” to an initiative is relatively easy.
What is difficult is developing consensus on a plan that will adequately fund Hawaii’s education system from preschool through high school.
I would love to see these past state leaders give their support and say “yes” to a plan that commits Hawaii to a quality education system for all our keiki.
Now that would be a commercial worth listening to.
