A Kauai Circuit Court judge sentenced today a 27-year-old man to 35 years’ imprisonment for sexual assault cases involving three victims, one as young as 11.

Judge Kathleen Watanabe sentenced Jesse Korn, formerly of Koloa, to serve 20-, 10-, and five-year terms consecutively, amounting to 35 years, Kauai Prosecutor Justin Kollar announced today in a news release.

He also faces deportation following his sentence since he is not a U.S. citizen.

Korn sexually assaulted three different victims, one as young as 11, in the early morning hours of Dec. 10. Korn entered two different units while the victims slept in the Kawailehua public housing.

Police, after a two-day manhunt, apprehended Korn Dec. 12. and has remained in custody since then in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Korn previously pleaded no contest to first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping, second-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault.

Watanabe noted the charges involved multiple individuals, the offenses were sexual assault and he had past convictions. She said the seriousness of the offenses warrant that the public be protected from Korn, and the 35-year sentence reflects the harm done to the victims, the county prosecutor’s office said in its news release.
