For a festive Halloween celebration that’s less frightful and more friendly for little ones, consider the Keiki Costume Ball, Oct. 28 at the Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center.
Parents and children “can visit the center at night for a family-friendly Halloween event and trick-or-treat throughout the center’s exhibit galleries,” said Liane Usher, president of Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center.
Wear a costume to get into the spirit of the event, which features access to the center’s exhibits, Halloween arts-and-crafts activities, games, a carousel ride and a special appearance by Lani Moo.
The event also includes a pizza dinner — your choice of a slice of cheese or pepperoni — juice and an ice cream treat.
