Kailua Village Business Improvement District has issued a request for proposals to revitalize Hale Halawai, an oceanfront park in Kona. The RFP seeks a project consultant to assist KVBID in a process to develop a community vision for the area.
“With parks and public spaces such a tangible reflection of the quality of life in a livable community, the time has come to actively work to improve our network of parks throughout Kona including Hale Halawai,” Kona County Councilman Dru Kanuha said.
Complete RFP details are available at HistoricKailua Village.com. Proposals are due on or before Oct. 5.
KVBID seeks to make Kailua Village a model sustainable community that is a better place to invest, work, live and play. KVBID general boundaries include all parcels between the former Kmart store and Royal Kona Resort.
