Hale Kipa, a Hawaii nonprofit organization that specializes in working with at-risk youth and their families, held a blessing Monday for its planned West Oahu campus.
The campus, located on 4.26 acres along Old Fort Weaver Road in Ewa, will serve as the agency’s headquarters. This location will consolidate Hale Kipa’s programs and operations to improve service quality, reduce costs and build a sense of place in West Oahu. It will be completed late next year.

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union has hired Joseph “Joe” Chee Jr. as Kahului branch manager. He has nearly 20 years experience in financial services, including branch manager and assistant vice president at American Savings Bank in Wailuku, branch manager at Territorial Savings Bank in Kihei, and assistant branch manager at First Hawaiian Creditcorp in Kailua-Kona.
UHA Health Insurance has promoted Joy Oandasan to sales marketing support manager from employer services administrative supervisor. She started as a billing representative for UHA in 2007. Since then, Oandasan has held various supervisory roles in the company’s Employer Services Department, where she was able to gain solid operational experience.
