We inmates here at Halawa Correctional Facility watched the Honolulu Little League team represent not only that awesome team and loved ones, but the state of Hawaii, with class, unity and teamwork at the Little League World Series.
We want to take this time to congratulate our world champions, and also to thank them for the joy and happiness they’ve given us in the stressful surroundings of incarceration.
We ask that they please stay away from drugs and crime; the wrong choices in life could easily lead them down the wrong path like it did to many of us here today.
Use this once-in-a-lifetime experience, our world champions, as a steppingstone for a bigger and brighter future.
