Some Hawaii operations and services will return to normal today in the wake of Tropical Storm Lane. Here’s an update of what’s reopening and what’s still closed:

OAHU

Activities

>Duke’s OceanFest will host amateur surf competition and lei draping of Duke Kahanamoku Statue on Sunday. Longboard Surf Class, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; lei draping, 9 a.m.

> All YMCA of Honolulu Branches will resume regular facility and program schedules on Sunday.

Attractions

> Pearl Harbor Visitors Center will reopen Monday.

>Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, and the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor will reopen Monday.

> Bishop Museum will reopen for business beginning Sunday.

> The Waikiki Aquarium will remain closed today.

> Weather permitting, public libraries with normal Sunday hours (Kaimuki, Kaneohe and Pearl City) will open on Sunday. All branches will resume normal hours of operation on Monday. Fines during the closure period will be waived.

> Wet’n’Wild in Kapolei will open on Sunday.

> Hawaiian Humane Society’s 24-hour admissions center has reopened. The adoption center will open Sunday at 10 a.m.

Banks

> All Bank of Hawaii branches will resume nomal business hours today.

> All Central Pacific Bank branches will resume normal business hours today.

> All First Hawaiian Bank branches will reopen today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

> All American Savings Bank branches will resume normal business hours today.

City Services

> All 299 city parks will reopen Sunday. Waipio Soccer Complex, the Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park and Hanauma Bay are closed today and Sunday. Those parks could open Monday depending on conditions. Lifeguards will return to their towers Sunday.

> All botanical gardens will remain closed.

> The Honolulu Zoo will reopen Sunday.

> The municipal golf courses will reopen Sunday depending on weather conditions affecting the condition of golf courses.

> Garbage pickup returns Monday, Aug. 27 for bulky items and opala. Transfer stations and convenience centers reopen Sunday, Aug. 26.

> All 20 shelters across the state will remain open until noon. City buses will be used to transport people from shelters to their pickup locations from 10 a.m. to noon.

Judiciary

> The Hawaii State Judiciary said all courthouses and facilities will resume normal operations on Monday. Anyone scheduled to appear at a courthouse on Monday should do so. Hearings and trials postponed due to closure of the courts will be rescheduled to the next available date.

> The deadline for filing documents which were originally due Aug. 23 to 25 for the Second and Third Circuits and Aug. 24 to 25 for the First and Fifth Circuits has been extended until Monday.

Medical Services

> Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Straub Medical Center and Pali Momi Medical Center will resume normal operations today.

> Hawaii Pacific Health’s Oahu clinics will return to normal operations on Monday, Aug. 27.

Shopping

> Ala Moana Center will reopen today at noon.

> The International Market Place will reopen 10 a.m. today. Normal business hours will resume from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

> Ka Makana Alii will reopen today at noon. Some stores and restaurants may open earlier, according to the mall’s Facebook page. Regular hours will resume Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

> Kahala Mall will resume normal business hours today.

> Pearlridge Center will resume normal business hours today.

> Royal Hawaiian Center reopens today at 10 a.m.

> Windward Mall will reopen today. Macy’s will reopen at noon. Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works will be closed today.

> All City Mill stores will be open today. Regular hours resume Sunday.

Transportation

> TheBus will resume service today. Free bus service will be provided today. W routes to Waikiki will start morning peak-hour bus service from Waipahu, Ewa Beach and Kalihi.

> TheHandi-Van reservation service will begin at 8 a.m. and transportation service will resume at 2 p.m.

> Biki service resumed at 6 a.m. today.

> Three Hawaii Driver’s License Centers will reopen:

> Kapalama Hale will open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

> Wahiawa Driver’s License Center will open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

> Kapolei Driver’s License Center will open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. today.

U.S. Postal Service

> Depending on weather conditions, all post offices across the state will open today and deliver mail. Mail will be picked up from the blue USPS mail boxes.

> All post offices on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii island and Kauai will deliver mail on Sunday. There will be no retail services or mail pickup from blue USPS mail boxes. The Pepeekeo post office on Hawaii island will be closed Sunday due to water damage.

HAWAII ISLAND

Banks

> All Bank of Hawaii East Hawaii branches will be closed today. The in-store branches of KTA Puainako and Safeway Hilo are closed.

> All Central Pacific Bank branches will resume normal business hours today.

> All First Hawaiian Bank branches will reopen today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

> All American Savings Bank branches will resume normal business hours today.

Events

> The Hui Kakoo Benefit concert will be canceled today.

Parks

>Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau and Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Parks reopened as of 9:15 a.m. today.

Stores and Restaurants

> Zippy’s Hilo location will remain closed today.

> All City Mill stores will reopen today. Regular store hours resume Sunday.

> Keauhou Shopping Center is open today.

Shopping Malls

> Keauhou Shopping Center will reopen today.

U.S. Postal Service

> Depending on weather conditions, mail will be delivered on Big isle’s west side including Captain Cook, Hawi, Holualoa, Honaunau, Honokaa, Kailua-Kona, Kamuela, Kapaau, Kealakekua and Waikoloa. Retail service will not be available at those post offices. All other post offices on Hawaii island will remain closed today. Mail will not be picked up from the blue USPS mail boxes.

> All American Savings Bank branches, except the Lahaina branch, will resume normal business hours today. The Lahaina branch will resume operations Monday, Aug. 27.

County Services

> Maui Bus will resume fixed-route service at 7:30 a.m. today and provide limited transportation to those with special needs. Call (808) 877-7651 for more information. Maui Bus commuter, para-transit and fixed-route services will resume normal operations on Sunday.

> The Department of Parks & Recreation will reopen parks on a case-by-case basis.

> Landfills in central Maui, Hana, Molokai and Lanai reopen today. Molokai landfill will close at 1 p.m. as a result of limited manpower.

> The Department of Water Supply are working to restore service to customers in Haiku after a 4-inch waterline was washed out. The DWS are asking West Maui residents to conserve water as Maui Electric Co. crews work to restore power to the area.

> All Lanai, Kahului and Molokai airport flights are on schedule.

> Trash pickup resumes Monday, Aug. 27.

> All harbor ports remain closed.

> The following roads are closed: Piiholo Road, Puu Way cul de sac, Piilani Highway by mile marker 37, Honokolani, Ulaino and Waikaloa, Haiku Road and Kaupakalua Road.

U.S. Postal Service

> All post offices will be closed today. Mail will not be delivered and will not be picked up from the blue USPS mail boxes.

> All post offices on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii island and Kauai will deliver mail on Sunday. There will be no retail services or mail pickup from blue USPS mail boxes.

> Post offices on Molokai and Lanai will be closed Sunday and there will be no pickup from blue mail boxes.
