Nick Au threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, and Trequan Henderson had two long touchdown returns, leading Moanalua past Aiea 38-26 on Friday.

In the first half, it looked like a shootout between Moanalua’s Au and Aiea’s Kayson Castillo was in the works. Au had already thrown for 180 yards and two scores, while Castillo had passed for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

But in the second half, things turned into a roller coaster of momentum shifts. Aiea pulled close as Austin Mogote scooped up a loose ball forced by Babu Capanang and returned it 65 yards for a score.

That made it 24-20. But on the very next play, Henderson took the kickoff 85 yards to put Moanalua back up by two scores.

Aiea scored to get it back to a one-possession game, but Na Alii’s final drive was ended when Henderson intercepted a pass from Fabian Bautista and returned in 88 yards to the house.

Castillo was knocked from the game in the final frame following a brutal tackle by Moanalua’s Micah Kim. Castillo was taken to the hospital after the game because of a shoulder injury and a concussion.
