Outrigger Hotels and
Resorts recently acquired the Honua Kai Resort &Spa’s on-site resort rental program from affiliates of
Alterra Mountain Co.
The Maui deal, which was announced last week, brings Outrigger’s global portfolio to 37 owned or managed
hotels, resorts and vacation condominiums in Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand, Guam, Mauritius and the Maldives.
Honua Kai units that were previously managed by
Alterra Mountain are now operating under Hawaii
Vacation Condos by Outrigger. Located on the north end of Kaanapali, the 38-acre oceanfront condominium is home to the Duke’s Beach House restaurant.
Its 628 guest suites make it the largest Maui property in the Outrigger portfolio. It’s also expected to grow with the addition of another 72 town homes, which
are slated for completion
in 2020.
