More money needed to address housing shortage

About a dozen properties were identified by the City and County of Honolulu as being a “high priority” for creating affordable rental housing in a new state report. Properties include a site slated for a planned city rail station next to Ala Moana Center, land around Ewa Villages Golf Course and the Alii Place office tower, pictured, in downtown Honolulu, which is owned by a private company on land leased from the city.
