Charges dropped against women cited for burying whale at sea

Melon-headed whales swim together off the shores of Kauai in 2017. Charges were dropped recently against Native Hawaiian practitioners Roxanne Stewart and Kealoha Pisciotta, who were cited in 2015 for an illegal “take” of the remains of a dead melon-headed whale that they buried at sea.
