Hawaii’s medical professionals sharpened their life-saving skills on Ford Island as part the U.S. Navy’s Rim of the Pacific Exercises on Thursday, July 12. These pretend drills help to prepare them for the event of a real catastrophic disaster such as an earthquake or tsunami. Twenty seven Hawaii hospitals from six islands participated in the exercises along with the American Medical Response and 92 post-acute care organizations in the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.
