Warning signs back up after 10-foot shark returns to Pokai Bay
Lifeguards are clearing Pokai Bay in Waianae this morning and warning signs going back up after a 10-foot shark returned today.
Two sharks had been seen on Monday, forcing the closure of the bay through Wednesday. But one shark continues to return, said Shayne Enright, spokeswoman for the city’s Emergency Medical Services department, which oversees city lifeguards.
The shark is not considered to be aggressive, Enright said.
Lifeguards are expected to review the situation at Pokai Bay again around noon.
