Some satellite city halls, driver’s licensing centers to open Saturday after outage
The city is opening certain driver’s licensing centers and satellite city halls this Saturday in an effort to assist those affected by Monday’s network system outage.
The driver’s licensing centers in Kapolei, Koolau, Kapalama and Wahiawa will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
In addition, the satellite city halls at Hawaii Kai, Kapalama, Kapolei, Wahiawa and Waianae will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The Ala Moana satellite city hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
No driver testing (road or written) or commercial driver’s license (CDL) services are offered on Saturday.
The extra day at satellite city halls gives residents time to do business before the end of the month, city officials said. The satellite city halls also offer motor vehicle registration and titling transactions; take bill payments; sell monthly bus passes; register bicycles and mopeds, as well as issue dog licenses, disability parking placards; and handle voter registration. Some offer limited driver license renewal services.
Driver’s licensing centers offer driver’s license and state ID services.
