Gray Television is buying Raycom Media Inc., the parent company of two Hawaii television stations, KHNL and KGMB, which make up two-thirds of the shared-services media organization Hawaii News Now. KFVE, the third station of Hawaii News Now, is owned by MCG Capital and is not part of the Raycom deal. A Page B4 headline Tuesday said Gray was buying three Hawaii stations, and the story did not explain KFVE’s separate ownership.
