Four possible locations were thought of for Farrington High School: 1. Kamehameha Boys’ School, the chosen site. 2. Kamehameha Girls’ School, now public housing across from Farrington High School. 3. The former Insane Asylum on the corner of Lanakila Avenue and School Street, where the Lanakila Health Center stands today. 4. A swampy area between Dillingham Boulevard and King Street.
