Grondin: French-Latin Kitchen, a Chinatown restaurant that opened four years ago to much ado, is closing its doors June 24.
In an email to customers, owners Jenny Grondin and David Segarra wrote that they’re planning to follow the restaurant with a launch of a Grondin product line that will include sangrita, charcuterie, mustard and more. No date was given for the new venture.
The restaurant’s menu draws on Grondin’s French and Segarra’s Ecuadorean heritage, featuring such dishes such as pan-roasted duck breast, adobo pork chops, steak frites and chicken mole, and small plates of empanadas, prawn ceviche, bone marrow and a charcuterie board.
The eatery, at 62 N. Hotel St., is open 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays, and for brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
On June 24, hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, with live jazz by Reggie Padilla and other musicians.
