Man, 44, charged in Kalihi bank robbery
Prosecutors have charged a 44-year-old man in connection with a bank robbery in Kalihi.
Jesse Jun N. Gonzales was charged Wednesday with second-degree robbery. His bail has been set at $15,000.
The suspect later identified as Gonzales entered the Bank of Hawaii at about 2:35 p.m. Monday where he told a teller he had a dangerous instrument and used a note to demand money.
Police said he left the bank without any money.
Officers located him at the intersection of Dillingham Boulevard and Kohou Street and arrested him on suspicion of robbery.
