A 51-year-old man who fell about 15 feet Thursday afternoon near the Honolulu airport has died, authorities said.
Emergency Medical Services said the man was critically injured when he fell sometime before 12:15 p.m. at the former Hawaiian Airlines cargo facility at 1 Elliott St.
EMS said paramedics gave lifesaving emergency medical treatment to the patient after he apparently fell 15 feet, then transported him at about 12:15 p.m. in critical condition to a hospital emergency room.
Police said the man died, but further details were not available at press time.
Boy, 8, serious after crash in Haleiwa
Emergency Medical Services transported an 8-year-old boy to a hospital after he was involved in a two-vehicle collision in Haleiwa.
The crash occurred on Kamehameha Highway near “Rainbow Bridge” at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday. EMS said the child was seated in the back seat of a sedan when the vehicle reportedly collided with a tour van.
Paramedics treated and transported the boy in serious condition to a hospital.
