Honolulu police and CrimeStoppers asked Wednesday for the public’s help in finding a man who impersonated a law enforcement officer in Kahala.
The man approached a homeowner at about 6 p.m. on Feb. 12 and identified himself as a U.S. Marshal trying to serve a search warrant on the home, according to police. The man showed the homeowner a badge, but no other identification.
He fled in a red Dodge Durango and is wanted for second-degree impersonation of a law enforcement officer.
The man is described as 5 feet 11 inches and 140 pounds, and was wearing a gray shirt and dark pants.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or call *CRIME on a cell phone.
Woman held on suspicion of sexually assaulting minor
Police arrested a 35-year-old woman on suspicion of more than 20 counts of sexual assault involving a juvenile.
The sexual assaults allegedly occurred from October to February. Police declined to release the victim’s age or gender or the location where the assaults occurred because the victim is a minor.
Police arrested the suspect Tuesday at a home near Kanewai Community Park, near the University of Hawaii at Manoa, on suspicion of 12 counts of first-degree sexual assault and 10 counts of third-degree sexual assault.
Police are continuing their investigation.
