A second phase of rental apartments in Mililani for
seniors with low incomes is now open, and work on the third of four phases has
begun.
Meheula Vista now has 150 one-bedroom, one-bath apartments for seniors earning 60 percent or less of
Honolulu’s median income, which equates to $43,980 for a single person and $50,220 for a couple.
Real estate firm Locations is accepting applications for the project in Mililani Mauka being developed on state land by Catholic Charities Housing Development Corp. with local affordable-housing developer Gary Furuta.
A third phase with another 75 apartments is about to rise and is scheduled for completion early next year on the corner of Meheula Parkway and Lehiwa Drive.
“Building more affordable housing is a top priority in our state right now, and Catholic Charities Housing Development Corporation is proud to play a role in filling this critical need for our
kupuna,” Rick Stack, president of the organization, said in a statement. “It is more important than ever
to provide our seniors with affordable rental options.”
