Man breaks in, chokes woman in Waikiki apartment, police say
Police arrested a 44-year-old man after he allegedly broke into a 39-year-old woman’s apartment and choked her in Waikiki.
The attack occurred at about 5:05 a.m. on Feb. 21 when the suspect entered the unit without permission while the victim was asleep. Police said they are former intimate partners.
At some point, an altercation occurred and the perpetrator choked her.
Police located the suspect Tuesday and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
