A. "Pake" Zane, left, and Paul Kanehiro of The Hawaii Historical Bottle Collectors Club showed a rare Coca-Cola bottle from 1945 without its usual green tint, as compared with the bottle at left, at the 28th Annual Hawaii Collectors Expo in the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall on Sunday. The three-day event began Friday with about 200 vendors with collections including artwork, jewelry, antiques, comics, sports cards, fabrics, musical instruments and more.

People gather at the parking structure entrance Wednesday for the opening of the Ward Village parking structure in the Ae'o condo in Kakaako. About 384 stalls will open on levels 4 to 6 and by June, another 336 stalls on levels 2 and 3 will open exclusively for Whole Foods customers. The garage is built with 'smart' technology with lights that mark open stalls.

Pikake Enos was dressed to thrill Tuesday as she operated her booth to sell Mardi Gras souvenirs such as beads and masks on Nuuanu Avenue in Chinatown at the Mardi Gras free block party. People were wearing colorful costumes to celebrate Fat Tuesday.

Fast friends (l-r) Matty Ledet, June Bond, Melanie Tabasa, Mary Diaz and Mary Watanabe found themselves dancing in the street on Nuuanu Avenue in Chinatown that was the site for the Mardi Gras free block party with loud music playing and people wearing colorful costumes to celebrate Fat Tuesday, February 13, 2018. They did not all know each other but got together and had fun dancing to the music in their finest Mardi Gras accoutrements.

Above, artist James Bullough used a building wall as his canvas in conjunction with the annual Pow! Wow! Hawaii event that kicked off Saturday. This year, more than a hundred international and local artists have converged for the event and will be creating murals all week long.

A white fairy tern fledgling, also known as manu-o-Ku, perched alone on a tree about 30 feet above Pohukaina Street late Friday afternoon. Manu-o-Ku's busiest breeding season is January through June, with the major peak time happening in March. The adult terns lay their eggs directly on a branch instead of in a nest and the chicks will stay near the birthing site while they're young.

Mililani resident Brian Bauer took his dog, Kiana, a 7-year-old silky terrier, out for their regular walk Monday along Moenamanu Street in Mililani with umbrella deployed to provide cover from the rain. Bauer and Kiana were headed home, where Bauer planned to dry her off after their soggy stroll.

A blue moon turned red during the lunar eclipse Wednesday in downtown Honolulu. A unique phenomenon dubbed "super blue blood moon" was showcased in a three-in-one celestial event that hasn't happened since 1982. The red blue moon was captured in an in-camera multiple exposure.
