Flood advisory canceled for Maui, Oahu
Flood advisories for Maui and Oahu have been canceled.
Radars this afternoon indicated heavy showers and thunderstorms over Upcountry Maui and the southeast slopes of Haleakala with isolated rain rates around two inches per hour.
The advisory ended after 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service asked the public to be aware of rises in streams and water levels in dry gulches, especially in Kihei and Wailea.
A flood advisory for Oahu ended at 4:30 p.m. Radars this afternoon indicated heavy rain over central Oahu and the Koolau range.
