A pedestrian in her 70s or 80s was critically injured Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near North School and Houghtailing streets in Kalihi.
Paramedics responded to the 4:14 p.m. call and treated the woman, who had head and leg injuries, and transported her to a hospital, according to city Emergency Medical Services officials.
Police closed North School Street eastbound at Houghtailing Street as they investigated. It was reopened at around 5:45 p.m.
3 injured in Mililani collision
Three people were injured in a head-on collision in Mililani on Makaimoimo Street on Wednesday morning, according to emergency medical personnel.
Two people were transported to a hospital in serious condition while a third was taken to a nearby medical center in stable condition. The collision occurred at about 12:20 p.m. No further information was available on the patients or on details of the accident.
