For the second week in a row, Hawaii designer Ari South got high marks from the judges in “Project Runway All Stars” and will be back tonight in the series’ first-ever double elimination. The designers will pair up to create fashion inspired by food and wine pairings, with Whoopi Goldberg as a guest judge.

“Project Runway All Stars” airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays on Lifetime. Read Nadine Kam’s weekly recaps of the show Friday mornings at staradvertiser.com.

The Jan. 11 challenge was to create distressed fashion for a post-apocalyptic runway.

Hawaii provided a natural inspiration for South as she created a distressed wool coat and dramatic ombre gown of lava-red-dyed silk georgette with a puka-filled skirt that the judges appreciated for its lacy effect.

South finished in the top three, but Anthony Williams was named the winner for his take on a Gambian princess who survives an apocalypse in her ballgown.
