The Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team routed Academy of Art 81-57 at the Blaisdell Arena on Wednesday night.
Niksha Federico led the Sharks (8-4, 3-1 Pac West) with a game-high 25 points and added seven rebounds. Cameron Niven led the Urban Knights (4-9, 3-4) with 12 points and six rebounds.
>> The Sharks also handled the Knights in the women’s matchup, prevailing 93-68. Janessa Manzano led Hawaii Pacific (9-2, 3-1) with 25 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Jazzlyn Brewster had a game-high 31 points for Academy of Art (2-13, 1-6) to go along with five assists and five boards.

Five players scored in double digits for the Silverswords (8-4, 3-2) led by Erik Scheive’s team-high 17 points. Marcelas Perry led the Hawks (6-9, 2-4) with 17 points.
>> Holy Names won the women’s matchup, edging the Silverswords 78-74. Taylor Krouse had a game-high 24 points for the Hawks (2-12, 1-5), while Destiny Castro led Chaminade (1-6, 1-4) with a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds.
>> Notre Dame de Namur topped Hawaii Hilo 67-54 at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
Jerushua Paine led the Argonauts (6-7, 3-2) with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, which were both game highs. Danielle Dacosta led the Vulcans (3-4, 1-3) with 14 points.
