Hawaii women’s basketball guard Sarah Toeaina was named the Big West player of the week on Monday after her clutch performance in the Rainbow Wahine Bank of Hawaii Classic over the weekend.

Toeaina, a 5-foot-11 senior, averaged 18 points and five rebounds in wins over Northern Arizona and San Diego, shooting 51.7 percent from the field and helping UH improve to 3-1. She hit the game-winning free throws in the final seconds of overtime against USD for a 64-63 win at the Stan Sheriff Center on Sunday.

It was her second career Big West weekly honor.
