Hawaii keiki are invited to help us trim our pages with their holiday creations in our annual Keiki Kalikimaka contest. Each day starting Nov. 24, we will feature a kid-crafted ornament in the Detours or Currents feature sections. On Christmas Eve, all 30 finalists will be published in the Sunday Currents section. Three finalists, chosen in a drawing, will win cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50.

Remember, artistic quality isn’t nearly as important as originality and holiday spirit. Ornaments must be accompanied by an entry form (photocopies are OK); entry form must be completed in full.

2017 KEIKI KALIKIMAKA CONTEST ENTRY FORM

>> Open to kids ages 12 and younger; one entry per child. Children of Oahu Publications Inc. employees are not eligible.

>> Entries must be submitted via mail — no faxes or emails — and postmarked by Dec. 9. No 3-D entries accepted (don’t glue on any objects).

>> By entering you are granting the Star-Advertiser permission to run your ornament without compensation. The judges’ decisions are final. Ornaments will not be returned.
