Worcester State quarterback Noah Brum, a 2014 Kalani graduate, was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference co-offensive player of the week on Sunday.
Brum, who owns the two best single-game passing performances ever at Kalani, threw for 364 yards and set the Lancers’ single-game completion percentage record of 77.8 percent (28-for-36) with five touchdowns in a 48-0 shutout of Massachusetts Maritime on Saturday.

Ta’amu goes off in loss in first start
Ole Miss junior Jordan Ta’amu completed 20 of 30 passes for 368 yards in his debut as the Rebels’ starting quarterback last Saturday.
Ta’amu, a 2015 Pearl City graduate, did not have a touchdown pass and he threw one interception in a 38-37 SEC loss to Arkansas. Ta’amu also rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns.
The Razorbacks’ Connor Limpert kicked a 34-yard field goal with four seconds left to deny the Rebels and finish off a comeback from a 24-point deficit.
Ta’amu, a 6-foot-2, 212-pound junior, started the season as Shea Patterson’s backup and took over the starting role when Patterson went down with a season-ending knee injury against LSU on Oct. 21.
He scored on a 49-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and added an 8-yard TD run with 10:51 remaining in the second quarter to put the Rebels ahead 31-7. The Razorbacks closed the game outscoring Ole Miss 31-6 from that point on.
