Channel KBS America on Spectrum and Hawaii Telcom has changed its picture size and is in a test period, awaiting feedback from viewers.
It’s changed from letterbox (black bars on top and bottom) to pillarbox (black bars to the left and right), and, as a result, many viewers who have their TV settings on “zoom” have had the subtitles basically disappear from their screens.
Many have called and emailed me saying they no longer see subtitles: The subtitles are there, but you will need to change your TV setting on the remote control to see them.
To do so, find the button on your TV remote labeled “P. Size” (for picture size), “display” or “mode.” Press the button and you will see the screen size change on your TV. In most cases, if you get out of the “zoom” mode and change the setting to “normal” or “wide,” you will see the subtitles once again.

>> Today, 6:30 p.m.: The housekeeper at Deokcheon’s house comes down from the second floor confused, informing Heedong that the chairman’s son has disappeared. Heedong asks her if he said where he was going. She replies that he was just in his room. Heedong wonders if his father-in-law has disappeared.
>> Today, 7:45 p.m.: Mipoong sees Daehoon by the dumpling store and chases after him, calling out, “Dad!” Cheongja learns that the dumpling store Daehoon mentioned is owned by Mipoong. Shinae tries to keep Daehoon from talking, and Daehoon tells Deokcheon he’s scared of Shinae.
“Love Temperature”

>> Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Hong-ah blows up when Jung-sun goes to meet Hyun-soo, canceling his promise to meet her. Hyun-soo must make decisions in love and work. Jung-sun asks Hyun-soo whether she can be trusted not to push him away. She hesitates to answer.
Episodes 15-16
>> Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Hyun-soo pulls out of the project after much deliberation. Hyun-soo and Kyung leave on a trip to Yeosu, and Jung-sun volunteers to follow them as a gofer. Jung-woo hears of their plan and heads for Yeosu. Hyun-soo professes her feelings for Jung-sun, unaware of a man watching from afar.
“While You Were Sleeping”
Episodes 13-14
>> Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Hong-joo feels guilty for causing Woo-tak’s injury. Woo-tak’s dream seeps into reality, and he tells Jae-chan they’ll soon work from the same side. When Jae-chan fears for Hong-joo’s safety after dreaming of the murder, she tells him she overcame her fear when Jae-chan held her hand.
Episodes 15-16
>> Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Hong-joo dreams of Hak-young threatening Woo-tak. She sees Hak-young turning himself in to the police. Woo-tak, who believes in Hak-young’s innocence, and Jae-chan, the prosecutor, face each other.
“Band of Sisters”

>> Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Chairman Goo hands over Gongryong’s shares and the house to Kye-hwa. Se-kyung tries to salvage the company and the house with Ki-chan and Se-joon. Chairman Goo heeds Deul-re’s advice to live as a father to his sons and daughter.
Episodes 67-68 (Finale)
>> Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Se-kyung tries to salvage Gongryong Group to the end. Vicky Jung gets in the way of Dal-hee’s plan. Sa Goon-ja comes back from the dead and makes an appearance at the critical gathering, shocking everyone.
