The state attorney general has charged two Honolulu men with 35 counts of medical assistance fraud.
Robert Wolf, 71, and Chin-Ying Jao, 37, are accused of billing the patients for psychotherapy services that were not performed. The offenses allegedly occurred in 2014 and 2015.
Both men were arraigned on Monday. Medical assistance fraud is a Class C felony and each count is punishable by up to five years in prison.
Police on hunt for pair who stole ATM
Hawaii County police are looking for two individuals who stole an ATM terminal from a retail establishment on Volcano Village Road.
Just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday, the pair reversed a pickup truck next to the store and pried open the locked front door. The suspects then took an ATM and its contents.
The theft was captured on surveillance video.
