Chef Mina to expand brand to Fish House restaurant at Ko Olina

Fish House restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina will close Nov. 1 and reopen Nov. 10 as Mina’s Fish House, as the hotel announces a partnership with award-winning chef Michael Mina.

With the move, Mina expands his Hawaii presence from the International Market Place in Waikiki where Stripsteak opened a little more than a year ago and The Street food hall opened in May.

Mina honeymooned in Hawaii and tried four times to open a restaurant here before Stripsteak and The Street came to fruition. He now owns a home here and can often be seen at the Waikiki operations.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be opening Mina’s Fish House in Ko Olina and with the Four Seasons, one of our great partners,” Mina said in a statement.

“We are incredibly excited as we take on the next step in positioning our resort as an epicenter for culinary experience in Hawaii,” said Four Seasons General Manager Sanjiv Hulugalle.

The executive chef for Mina Fish House is yet to be named. They will work alongside General Manager Rebecca Lane and Martin Knaubert, recently promoted to director of food and beverage from executive chef.

The hotel’s employees who staff the restaurant will transition to the newly branded concept, which will remain a seafood-focused restaurant, according to Yvonne Hunter, the hotel’s director of public relations.
