A Honolulu police officer paused outside the apartment complex at 1650 Young Street.

Police this afternoon arrested three men in the fatal shooting outside a strip club early Saturday in Waikiki.

The three were taken into custody in the vicinity of 1650 Young Street and are currently in the cell block awaiting charges.

Earlier, police units were seen staging in the vicinity of Shriners Hospital for Children on Punahou Street.

The getaway vehicle was spotted a few blocks away, according to Hawaii News Now.

A Crimestoppers bulletin earlier had described the shooter as a black man about 5 feet 7 inches with dreadlocks. He fled the scene of the shooting in a black SUV, police said.

The shooting, which involved some 10 shots fired into patrons in an alley off Kuhio Avenue, left one man dead and two others wounded. Their conditions were unclear today, as was the motive.

Investigators closed off the alley fronting Club Alley Cat for several hours beginning around 5:45 a.m.

According to police, a man used a rifle and fired at a group of people standing outside the club.
