A 19-year-old man was in critical condition after being pulled unconscious from the ocean off Sandy Beach on Sunday afternoon.
The man had been bodyboarding at the surf spot Half Point, according to an Emergency Medical Services/Ocean Safety report.
Lifeguards brought the man back to shore and performed CPR until he regained a pulse. Paramedics transported the man, who suffered a laceration to the head, to an emergency room.
Surf in the area was in the 4- to 7-foot range at the time of the incident.
