Section of parking lot at Kailua Beach Park closed for maintenance
The north side of the Kailua Beach Park lot is closed today and Thursday for maintenance, according to a press release from the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation.
The lot on the north side of the beach park is scheduled to be closed until Thursday as city crews clean and restripe. City crews finished cleaning two parking lots on the south side of Kaelepulu Stream last week near the canoe hale and boat ramp but were unable to get to the north side right away due to landscaping and the accumulation of sand.
Crews plan on reopening the lots in the mid-afternoon when work is not being conducted. The parking lot and beach park are regularly closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
