Services for the late kumu hula Denise Ka‘uhionamauna Kia Ramento of Pearl City will be held Sept. 23 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
Ramento died Aug. 8 at The Queen’s Medical Center-West Oahu after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 64.
The services were moved from Friday to Saturday to accommodate a larger attendance list, according to daughter Theresa Tehiva.
Viewing is at 9 a.m., followed by 11 a.m. Mass at the church at 1525 Waimano Home Road, Pearl City. Burial is at 1:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary in Waipahu, followed by a drum performance. Aloha attire, flowers and lei are welcome.
