HPD: Man choked ex-girlfriend as she held their baby
Police arrested a 33-year-old man after he allegedly choked his ex-girlfriend in downtown Honolulu.
Police said the suspect and the victim, 25, argued at their residence at about 10 a.m. Thursday. The suspect then choked her while she was holding their baby.
Police said he also put her in a chokehold to prevent her from leaving the residence.
Police were called and the man was arrested on suspicion of abuse of a family or household member in the presence of a child younger than 14.
