Police search for suspect in Punchbowl attempted robbery

Police are looking for a male suspect who allegedly attempted to rob a convenience store in the Punchbowl area.
At about 8:30 a.m. on July 18, the owner of MK Market was standing at the rear of the store located on Lusitana Street, mauka of Queen’s Medical Center when the suspect approached him and brandished a handgun. Police said the suspect demanded money.
When the owner refused, the suspect struck the victim and fled toward Vineyard Boulevard on a bicycle.
Police released surveillance images and video of the male suspect.
