The Hawai‘i Forgiveness Project will celebrate its 15th annual International Forgiveness Day from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 6 on the lawn at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St.
The free festival will focus on the power of forgiveness through art, including dance, drama, creative writing, visual arts and music.
Winners of the Heroes of Forgiveness awards will share their stories. Highlights include kahu Kauila Clark; qi gong with master Qing Chuan Wang; the New Hope Halau; dances with John Sausedo, accompanied by musicians Bob Burdon and Chris Miller, and Peter Martin; the Love Peace Harmony Center; and calligrapher Orlena Wong-Sambueno.
