World Series of Poker is in full swing
The Main Event of the 48th World Series of Poker is underway, drawing a field of 7,221 players, a 7.2 percent increase over last year’s 6,737.
It’s the third-largest Main Event in history and the first to break 7,000 players since 2010. The total prize pool is $67,877,400, with a minimum of $15,000 awarded to the top 1,084 players.
The winner will take down $8.15 million, and all nine final-table participants will earn at least $1 million.
That final table will be determined Monday and will be played out Friday through July 23.
Last year’s champion, Qui Nguyen, was eliminated on Day 2 of the tournament.

Question: Besides the Sterling Brunch and the Carnival Seafood Buffet, what are the next three best restaurants that serve big lobster tails? Price is no problem as long as it’s good.
Answer: All the high-end restaurants have big lobster tails at big prices, but here are three particularly interesting options.
A good deal is running right now at the Palm Restaurant in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, where a 4-pound lobster dinner for two is $99 through Aug. 15.
At the Rampart a giant lobster tail dinner is free when you earn 1,500 club points (about an hour of play on $1 machines). And at a bar on the west side called Brooky’s, a giant bloody mary with a lobster tail and a filet inside is $25 on Thursdays.
