TerViva plans to cultivate pongamia trees on Alexander & Baldwin’s former sugar land on Maui. Pongamia seeds, which are similar to soybeans, can be used to produce biofuel. TerViva is currently growing an orchard of pongamia trees across 200 acres on the North Shore of Oahu.
